Baby Beast Mega Family: 6 brands, 1 coil standard

✓ Verified

SMOK TFV8 Baby Beast (V8 Baby-M2, Q2, T8, X4…)

Compatible with: SMOK Baby Beast / Big Baby Beast / Baby Prince / TFV9, Vaporesso NRG / NRG SE / NRG PE / SKRR / SKRR-S / Cascade Baby, Geekvape Shield / Aero / Aero Mesh / Cerberus, Eleaf Ello / Ello Mini / Ello Vate / Ello Duro, Wotofo Flow / Flow Pro, Joyetech ProCore Aries

The de facto sub-ohm standard of 2017–2022. Vaporesso GT, Eleaf HW and Geekvape Super Mesh coils are all interchangeable in any tank of this family.

Vaporesso GT Core (GT2, GT4, GT6, GT8, cCELL, QF Mesh)

Compatible with: SMOK Baby Beast / TFV8 Baby / Baby Prince, Vaporesso NRG / SKRR / Cascade / Sky Solo, Geekvape Cerberus / Aero Mesh, Eleaf Ello

Vaporesso and SMOK have officially confirmed the compatibility. Sold explicitly as 'GT and Smok Baby Beast Compatible Coils' by retailers.

Geekvape Super Mesh X1 / X2 (Cerberus)

Compatible with: Geekvape Cerberus / Shield / Aero / Aero Mesh, Vaporesso NRG / SKRR-S, SMOK Baby Beast / Big Baby Beast, Eleaf Ello

Confirmed on Vaping Underground and the ECF forums. Geekvape explicitly markets these coils for the Baby Beast family.

Eleaf HW Series (HW-M, HW-N mesh)

Compatible with: Eleaf Ello / Ello Mini / Ello Vate / Ello Duro, SMOK Baby Beast, Geekvape Cerberus, Vaporesso NRG

Confirmed by the ECF community. Note: HW coils are slightly taller and sometimes need a 'tall' pyrex on certain tanks (e.g. Ello Duro).

Note: the full-size Vaporesso Cascade needs an adapter for Baby Beast coils. The Aspire Cleito 120 and SMOK TFV12 Prince have their own standard — don't confuse them.

Voopoo UFORCE ↔ Freemax Fireluke: the intentional copy

✓ Verified

Freemax Fireluke Mesh (M, M2, M3) / TX coils

Compatible with: Voopoo UFORCE / UFORCE T2, Freemax Fireluke 1 / 2 / 3 / 4, Freemax Twister AIO

Voopoo deliberately copied the Fireluke format. Bidirectional: Fireluke coils in the UFORCE, and UFORCE coils in the Fireluke. Confirmed by several retailers (vaporplace.com, rivercityvapes.com).

Freemax Fireluke Pro coils (format différent)

Fireluke PRO coils are NOT compatible with the UFORCE. Only the standard Fireluke (M/M2/M3) works. The Fireluke Pro is a separate platform.

Always check the Fireluke version: 'M / Mesh / M2 / M3' = UFORCE-compatible. 'Fireluke Pro' = a different format, incompatible.

Wotofo SMRT Pod ↔ SMOK RPM 2: officially interchangeable coils

✓ Verified

Wotofo SMRT RPM2 Pod Coil (0.2Ω, 0.3Ω mesh)

Compatible with: Wotofo SMRT Pod Kit, SMOK RPM 2 80W Pod Kit

Wotofo officially markets these coils as RPM2-compatible. Cross-brand validated at product level (wotofo.com product page). Wotofo also offers a rebuildable SMRT RPM2 kit for both platforms.

Don't confuse these with RPM (first generation) or RPM 3 coils — they're mutually incompatible. Only the RPM2 generation applies here.

Aspire Nautilus Family: 7 tanks, 1 BVC coil

✓ Verified

Aspire Nautilus BVC / Triton Mini coil

Compatible with: Aspire Nautilus / Nautilus Mini, Aspire Nautilus 2 / 2S / 3, Aspire Nautilus GT, Aspire Nautilus AIO, Aspire Triton Mini, Aspire Mulus, Billet Box / BB tanks (via adaptateur Nautilink)

A historic MTL standard. The Billet Box (premium MTL squonk) is a notable cross-brand use case: Velvet Vape's Nautilink adapter lets you use Nautilus BVC coils in Boro tanks.

Aspire Cleito coils

Does not fit: Aspire Cleito / Cleito EXO / Cleito Pro

Cleito coils are NOT compatible with the Nautilus family — two distinct platforms at Aspire. The Cleito 120 is yet a third, incompatible family.

The Nautilus X (U-Tech coil) is a SEPARATE platform — its coils don't work in standard Nautilus tanks. Check the exact model before buying.

Aspire Atlantis/Triton Family ↔ Eleaf Melo 3 ↔ DotMod Petri

✓ Verified

Aspire Atlantis / Triton coils

Compatible with: Aspire Atlantis / Atlantis 2 / Atlantis Mega / Atlantis EVO, Aspire Triton / Triton 2, Eleaf Melo 3, DotMod Petri, Vaporesso cCELL (certains modèles)

A 2015–2017 sub-ohm standard, still widespread on the secondary market. Eleaf EC MELO coils are interchangeable with Atlantis in tanks of this generation.

An older standard — increasingly hard to find new coils in shops. Better to buy in bulk. Incompatible with the Nautilus (MTL) and Baby Beast tanks (a more recent format).

SMOK TRAP: RPM / RPM2 / RPM3 / Nord — 4 INCOMPATIBLE platforms

✓ Verified

SMOK RPM coils (0.3Ω, 0.4Ω, 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω, 1.0Ω, 1.2Ω)

Compatible with: RPM40, RPM80, RPM80 Pro, Nord 2 (pod RPM), Fetch Mini, Fetch Pro, SCAR-P3/P5, Thallo, Alike

Does NOT work in RPM2 or RPM3 pods — a different generation.

SMOK RPM 2 coils

Compatible with: RPM 2/2S, RPM85/100, Nord 4 (pod RPM2), Nord C, Nord X, SCAR-P3/P5, IPX 80

Incompatible with RPM and RPM3. Some devices (Nord 4, Nord X) accept SEVERAL pod types — check which pod is installed.

SMOK RPM 3 coils

Compatible with: RPM 5, RPM 5 Pro, RPM85, RPM100, Nord 5

Newer, higher-power mesh technology. Incompatible with RPM and RPM2.

SMOK Nord coils

Compatible with: Nord, Nord 2, Nord Pro, Nord X (pod Nord), Trinity Alpha, Alike (pod Nord)

A distinct MTL platform. Visually close to the RPM but INCOMPATIBLE. A very common beginner mistake.

This is THE classic SMOK trap: Nord and RPM look VISUALLY SIMILAR but the coils are NOT interchangeable. Multi-pod devices (Nord 4, Nord X) make it even trickier: they accept several pod families, each with its own coils. Always check the TYPE OF POD installed, not just the device name.

Voopoo PnP: 15+ devices, 1 coil — but NOT GTX compatible

✓ Verified

Voopoo PnP coils (VM1 à VM6, R, TW, X)

Compatible with: Drag X / Drag X Pro / Drag X2, Drag S / Drag S Pro, Drag E60, Argus Pro / Argus G / Argus P1 / Argus P2, Vinci / Vinci R / Vinci X / Vinci 2, Drag 4 (via adaptateur)

One of the broadest ecosystems on the market. All PnP coils are interchangeable across all these devices.

Vaporesso GTX coils dans Voopoo PnP

Physically incompatible — different dimensions and electrical contacts. Neither direction works. Explicitly confirmed by vapestoredirect.co.uk.

Voopoo TPP coils dans pods PnP

TPP is a SEPARATE platform from the PnP — larger format, higher wattage. Incompatible with each other even though same brand.

The PnP X platform (Drag 5/6, S2/X2, S3/X3) uses PnP-X coils that are slightly different from standard PnP — check specific compatibility if the device is recent (2024+).

Vaporesso GTX: 5+ devices, 1 coil — closed to other brands

✓ Verified

Vaporesso GTX coils (0.2Ω, 0.3Ω, 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω, 1.0Ω)

Compatible with: Vaporesso Target PM80 / PM80 SE, Vaporesso Gen Nano, Vaporesso Swag PX80, Vaporesso Luxe PM40 (0.6Ω uniquement), Vaporesso XROS / XROS 2 / XROS 3 / XROS 4 / XROS Pro (certains modèles)

Broad internal Vaporesso compatibility. No confirmed cross-brand compatibility with other brands.

Contrary to popular belief, GTX coils do not swap with Voopoo PnP or any other known cross-brand standard. The ecosystem is closed to other brands.

Kanger Subtank / SSOCC: legacy family still useful

✓ Verified

Kanger SSOCC / OCC coils

Compatible with: Kanger Subtank / Subtank Mini / Subtank Nano, Kanger Toptank Mini, Kanger Subox Mini

A 2015–2017 standard, still findable. No known modern cross-brand compatibility — the Kanger ecosystem is isolated.

Kanger has wound down its main operations. SSOCC coils are hard to find new. These tanks are not compatible with Baby Beast or Nautilus coils.

Innokin Z-Coil (Zenith): internal ecosystem only

✓ Verified

Innokin Z-Coil (0.3Ω, 0.5Ω, 0.8Ω, 1.6Ω)

Compatible with: Innokin Zenith / Zenith II / Zenith Pro, Innokin Zlide / Zlide Top, Innokin Kroma-Z pod, Innokin Coolfire Z50 kit, Innokin Adept Zlide kit

Excellent internal Innokin compatibility. No known or confirmed cross-brand compatibility with other MTL brands.

Coils from other brands in the Zenith

Spectrum coils (third-party brand) do not work in the Zenith II — confirmed by forum users.

The Zenith is an excellent MTL tank but its ecosystem is closed. If you switch brands, your Z coils won't be reusable.

Uwell Caliburn G/G2: broad internal, closed cross-brand

✓ Verified

Uwell Caliburn G coil (0.8Ω, 1.0Ω mesh)

Compatible with: Uwell Caliburn G / G2 / GK2 / GZ2, Uwell KOKO Prime, Uwell Tenet, Uwell Explorer, Uwell Ironfist L

Good internal Uwell compatibility. The pod format is proprietary — no known cross-brand compatibility with Voopoo, Vaporesso, SMOK or others.

The Caliburn ecosystem is entirely closed to other brands. Note: Caliburn A2 / AK2 / A3 use a DIFFERENT pod format from the G/G2.

OXVA Xlim: semi-closed — limited 3rd party, OXVA families don't cross

✓ Verified

OXVA Xlim pods (V2, V3)

Compatible with: OXVA Xlim / Xlim SE / Xlim SQ / Xlim Pro / Xlim Classic, OXVA Xlim Go

All Xlim V2 and V3 pods are interchangeable across every device in the Xlim range. A few third parties (RXELF VCT) offer compatible pods.

OXVA Xlim pods in other OXVA families (VPrime, Origin, Nexlim, Oneo)

The different OXVA families are NOT cross-compatible. Xlim pods ≠ VPrime pods ≠ Origin pods. A classic trap: same brand, different format.

OXVA spans 6 ranges that are incompatible with each other. 'OXVA' alone isn't enough — you must specify the sub-range. Xlim to other brands = 0 known compatibility.

Voopoo TPP: high-wattage platform, fully closed

✓ Verified

Voopoo TPP coils (DM1, DM2, DM3, DM4)

Compatible with: Voopoo TPP Pod Tank / TPP-X Pod Tank, Voopoo Drag 3, Voopoo Drag X Plus, Voopoo Argus GT 2

High-power DTL platform (40–80W). Incompatible with PnP pods even though same Voopoo brand.

Coils PnP dans pods TPP

TPP and PnP are two physically distinct formats at Voopoo. Same brand, incompatible. A frequent in-store mistake.

Don't confuse TPP and PnP. The TPP is larger, dedicated to high-power box mods. No cross-brand compatibility with other brands.

100% closed ecosystems

These platforms only accept their own brand's coils — no third-party equivalent is possible.

🔒

SMOK — Nord coils

Proprietary MTL/RDL platform. Incompatible with RPM coils (same brand). Visually close = a classic trap.

🔒

SMOK — RPM / RPM2 / RPM3

3 generations INCOMPATIBLE with each other. Some devices (Nord 4, Nord X) accept several pod types, but the coils stay specific to the pod.

🔒

SMOK — LP1 / LP2

Novo/RPM4 range. Proprietary coils not compatible with RPM or Nord. Two additional sub-families often overlooked.

🔒

Voopoo — TPP

High-power platform (40–80W) distinct from the PnP. Closed to other brands AND to the same brand's PnP.

🔒

Voopoo — PnP-X

Evolution of the standard PnP (2024+) for Drag 5/6, S3/X3 devices. Partially PnP-compatible depending on the model — check specific compatibility.

🔒

Vaporesso — GTX

Large internal family (PM80, Swag PX80, XROS...) but 100% closed to other brands. No interoperability with Voopoo PnP despite the visual similarity.

🔒

Vaporesso — GTR

Exclusive to the Vaporesso FORZ TX80. An ultra-closed platform with very specific coils.

🔒

OXVA — Xlim

Excellent internal compatibility across the whole Xlim range. A few third parties exist (RXELF VCT). But 0 compatibility with other brands and 0 with the other OXVA ranges (VPrime, Origin, Nexlim, Oneo).

🔒

OXVA — VPrime / Origin / Nexlim / Oneo

4 additional OXVA ranges with distinct proprietary pods. Incompatible with each other and incompatible with Xlim.

🔒

Uwell — Caliburn G/G2

Broad internal compatibility (GK2, GZ2, KOKO Prime, Tenet...). Entirely closed to other brands. Caliburn A2/AK2/A3 = a different format within Uwell itself.

🔒

Uwell — Crown IV / Crown V

Proprietary Uwell sub-ohm tanks. No known cross-brand compatibility. Each Crown generation has its own coils.

🔒

Innokin — Z-Coil (Zenith / Zlide)

Very good internal Innokin compatibility (Zenith, Zenith II, Zenith Pro, Zlide, Kroma-Z). Entirely closed to other brands. A quality MTL standard but a proprietary ecosystem.

🔒

Aspire — Nautilus BVC

Large internal family (7 tanks) + compatibility via third-party adapters in Billet Box/Boro tanks. A rare case of opening toward the premium MTL market. Incompatible with Cleito and Nautilus X.

🔒

Aspire — Nautilus X (U-Tech coil)

A platform distinct from the standard Nautilus despite the identical name. U-Tech coils are not compatible with the BVC. A frequent trap.

🔒

Vaporesso — EUC (Veco / Target Mini)

An old standard (2016–2018), exclusive to Veco tanks. Hardly relevant on today's market.
